West Marine Survey was founded by Vincent Gobron, a qualified marine surveyor who spent several years at sea before joining the industry as a surveyor in 2009. His background spans luxury cruise ships, bulk carriers, VLCCs, product tankers, seismic survey vessels, and cable-laying ships — giving him first-hand knowledge of the operations his clients depend on.
Since 2009, Vincent has handled maritime casualties on behalf of shipowners, P&I Clubs, and underwriters, building expertise in claims management, damage assessment, and liaison with competent authorities. Based in Nantes, we operate worldwide 24/7.
